BILL PAYMENT
Bills can be settled until the last day of payment at the Lemba’s Communal Board offices (we accept check, credit or debit cards). The Lemba’s Communal Board website (www.lemba.org.cy) , at any Co-operative Society ( Lemba’s Communal Board Bank Account 4018496-1) and via JCC Smart (www.jccsmart.com ).After the last day of payment bills can only be paid at the Lemba’s Communal Board offices or at the Lemba’s Communal Board website.
If the bill remains outstanding after the last date of payment a surcharge of 10% will be imposed on the amount due and the water supply will be disconnected without further notice. In order to re-establish the water supply a reconnection fee will have to be paid.
By prompt settlement of bills both the consumers and Lemba’s Community Council avoid unnecessary trouble and expenses.
PLUMBING INSTALLATION MAINTENANCE
The responsibility for maintaining and keeping the pipe work beyond the water meter in good condition lies entirely with the consumer. In order to prevent water being wasted and to avoid high water bills the consumers are urged to frequently check the performance of their plumbing installations and water meter.
The ground around the water meter must be kept clean and free from any obstacles that would obstruct easy meter reading; otherwise Lemba’s Communal Board may proceed to an estimation of the consumption. It is strictly prohibited to interfere, move or cause any damage to the water meter or to the valve on the water supply pipe.
OTHER INFORMATION
Consumers may request temporary disconnection of the water supply for safety reasons. In such cases only the fixed charges and the disconnection and re-connection fees must be paid as provided for in the Regulations.
If consumers no longer require the water supply to their premises or have moved house or sold their premises they must inform accordingly Lemba’s Communal Board. Any delay in informing Lemba’s Communal Concil may incur additional charges to the consumer.
