Road Network

The Community Council of Lemba keeping the upgrade of the road network high in it's priorities has submitted to the various state agencies the information necessary for the creation and registration of new roads to access the landlocked blocks with the aim of their development. Some of these streets are Archepiskopou Kyprianou Street, Agiou Mamas Street, Xerolimnis Street, Apostolou Andreou Street, Akis Kleanthous Street, Sta Paraskou Street, Ap. Barnabas Street, Ithakis Street, Akanthous Street etc.

Also the Ellados Avenue project has been promoted for execution which is classified as an Urban project and is directly intertwined with the coastal road .

The Ellados Avenue is of paramount importance and will connect the route of Agiou Stephanou Street (the Lemba – Kissonerga Road) with the coastal road of Tombs of the Kings. This road will start from the point next to

Christakis Iakovou's flower shop where a roundabout will be created and will end at the roundabout at Kaspari's tavern on the coastal road. It will be a modern two-lane road with a width of 3.50 m each with central islet with a width of 1m and a two-way bicycle path with a width of 2.10 m on either side of the road.

It also includes the construction of a third roundabout at the point that leads to the Archaeological Site for the possibility of the turn about of transit vehicles, but also as a measure of traffic control on a straight road with a length of 1.3 km.

The completion of the construction project of the road is expected in 2016, and then the simultaneous implementation of the project with the coastal road.
